Glad you guys are excited about your new EVO product. We wanted to make an EBCS that solved all of the current EBCS problems on the market. Ours is matched specificaly for the EVO ECU, direct plug-in to OEM wiring, and direct fitment via our EVO bracket.

We've had a few tuners already playing with it with good results. I'm sure they will post up soon enough.

Seems pretty solid to me. I would like to see some input from tuners.

I don't want to rain on your parade. This is a direct request for information. I'd like to get your explanation in real detail about how this solenoid is different than the same model and size MAC solenoid valve available from any local industrial supply house for under $30 like I've bought direct for years.

I can see yours is painted black. It has a connector installed on the wiring. It has nickel plated hardware instead of the brass hardware that is supplied by AEM, Autronic, and other vendors who relabel MAC solenoids. It has a sheet metal bracket. I figure those cost $10 or less.

The valve itself, though, is obviously a MAC valve of the same model and size that AEM and other companies sell.

So what is it that sets your MAC valve apart from the MAC valves that AEM, Perrin, Autronic and others sell me, so I can justify the $80 extra cost over what I can buy one from MAC every day.

If there's really a significant difference, I'll buy one. Thanks for your reply.

We are not trying to hide the fact that MAC makes the valve for us. We chose MAC because they are the best. But our valve differs from the ones found in an industrial catalog even if they share the same housing. The valve is made specifically for us. We spec'd it to work properly with the EVO ECU (correct impedence of the coil, and response time). It also uses seal materials that are compatible with synthetic motor oils. (if there is ever blowby). Lastly, we worked with MAC on a coil that can handle the vibrations and temperatures found inside an engine bay.

People also like the fact they can plug it in, bolt it up and tune. You don't have to worry about soldering resistors in line, fabricating your own bracket, or splicing into your factory wiring. It's a great product and I am sure you will be happy with it.

Thanks,
Chad

I'm very interested. I've been thinking about upping my boost for some time now. And MBCs seem very unsophisticated, and EBCs seem overpriced and ugly.

Bump for some tuning results, reviews, on Evos.
