Sprintbooster Evaluation
Sprintbooster has been around for about 2 or 3 years. The second generation of the unit was released late last year which has a selectable feature. Off, stage 1, and stage 3.
The Price of Sprintbooster is 329 free shipping.
You can buy the sprintbooster and evaluate it yourself. Sprintbooster wants as much feedback out the product. Generally those who have it love it. If not, you have 30 days to return it for a 100% refund, No BS.

I can never understand this. Why does everyone think this is so shady. Sprintbooster USA asked me how would I do it.
1) First I thought, have people buy it and offer a 100% refund if they dont like it. But I wanted to make it even easier.
2) now here Sprintbooster USA goes looking for the most reputable person to test this unit at no cost to them. And there is something wrong with it?
Listen, if they like it, write about it. They keep it.
They Dont like it FOR WHAT EVER REASON, write about it in depth, and return it. We even pay to pick it up.

Your time + Good review = $329.00 component for free
Your time + Bad review = nothing
Maybe it's just me, but that seems like a strong financial incentive to write a good review. Even if the eventual reviewer isn't impressed and thinks it has no value whatsoever, all they have to do is write a good review to keep the unit and sell it off.
Maybe my engineering mind has made me skeptical, I don't know. I was just trying to point out the obvious flaw in your promotion.
Edit: IMO, you should just make it consistent. You either ask for the unit back no matter what the outcome, or let the reviewer keep the unit no matter what the outcome. It's when good review = free stuff that there's the appearance of impropriety.

I am not calling out anyone in particular, but I hope we can all be civil toward each other in this thread.
Some might be interested the product, some might not, this is fine.
I read it as they want someone that is well known on Evom to try out this product and to write about it. They are not paying you for a good review, if you do not like the product, you are welcome to tell the forum why and give it back so they can sell it to someone who wants it and does like it.
If you are interested and meet the requirements, post up as instructed. If you have more questions about the technical nature of the product before submitting your candidacy, this is the place to ask.

I don't know, it seemed pretty obvious to me I guess...

The whole point of this is to not get this unit in the hands of the average Joe. Because if you go any Mini Forum, Any BMW forum, any MB forum, your going to have a thousand testimonials.
The whole point of this is to get this unit in the hands of someone who higher moral caliber who isnt interested in making a quick buck. But can put the time and effort into testing the product and writing a review.
Again.... we want to make it as easy as possible. Ideally if the person is local then we would have them come in. But but then other on the forum would just up and say foul, there or there was some shady business deal. lol In some ways I just want to throw my hands up and yell lol.

But lets start over. Then I will stick with the original offer since you have pointed a flaw. And let me make it even more clear. Cause I like the grass roots kinda thing.
I challenge anyone to buy this product, that way we can get multiple people testing it at the same time. Average Joes from all stripes. We can avoid any moral corruption.
Buy Sprintbooster, Evaluate it to its fullest for 30 days, if you dont like it, or u just dont think its worth it. Return it. NO B.S. Come right back here and talk about your experience. We welcome all pictures comments.

I just want to be clear that I thought I was being pretty civil. I also think this is a great idea for a product, as throttle response has suffered as we all move to drive-by-wire systems. All I was trying to do was bring up the point now, quite honestly to protect you guys, so that when the review is published no one can claim that it was paid for.
Doing it the way you are makes it really important for you to select a respected community member, which you've made it clear you plan to do. Good luck in your search.

Actually I thought their idea of giving a unit to someone for a review was a good one. Its hard to get units like this into hands of users when the cost for the unit is the same as a custom tune that also modifies the throttle response tables... so the offer of a free mod essentially will help get the word out on the device into this community. That word can be invaluable as some people that wish to not tune their cars for fear of voiding a warranty, can simply plug in or unplug this device.

not at all the search continuse for a forum guru to review our product. that said what has happend more and more are the regular members on here taking the challenge to test and review the sprintbooster product. in the mitsubishi evo and ralliart its a worthy upgrade. for the lancer its a must and a new way of life.
I put this up in another thread about the sprint booster and say that who ever does the write up do a video on before install and after install on the different stages. That way it shows, in real world time you can see, how it helps the pedal response.

You're absolutely correct. I only have 09 lancer SE and got my SB installed by my dealer this afternoon. It's just fantastic. I couldn't ask for more.
I don't have any intake mods but my acceleration was greatly improve especially for the sport mode (particularly, accelerating from a completely stop).
I think, SB is something that my car lacks for quite some time. But now, I found it.For me it's just worth the price.
OK...I'll give this a shot. I am a complete noob on this forum, but I am not new to tuning. My previous rides were an 02 Mitsu eclipse RS (totaled by a drunk driver), an 03 mitsu eclipse GS, 06 mitsu Raider duro-cross (moved to waay upstate NY) and now I'm in a 2010 Lancer GTS (shortly headed back down south).
I've done different mods to all the rides (all bolt-on). The most heavily modded was the 2nd Eclipse (AEM CAI, KYB AGX Struts, DZ Springs, Magnaflow cat-back, B&M short-throw, bomex kit, painted crap, etc etc).
The biggest complaint I had was the amount of crap I needed to put on my car to get to the performance level that could be found on other stock rides. I got frustrated with "the game". Since I had to go to waay upstate NY, I figured it was a good time for a 4-wheel drive truck and a break from "the game". The truck was awesome and served its purpose, but I got the itch back hence the new Lancer.
I've driven my GTS for 2000+ miles now and am very happy with it. Paddle shift and CVT took some getting used to, but I've grown to love it. What has surprised me is my newfound way of thinking when it comes to vehicle selection. What sold me on the GTS was actually economics. An evo was just ridiculous for my needs. I was in a toss-up between the Ralliart and the GTS...I know, sounds like night and day right! Yes the Ralliart was AWD, sport-traction wizbangs, and that sweet powerful turbo, but it got 20mpg and you of course have to use high octane fuel. The GTS started at 22mpg and went to 29mpg, but it also used 87 octane! That was a major selling point to me as gas isn't cheap anymore. Compared to my previous Eclipses and my Raider, this thing is smokin fast and handles tight and flat!
This now brings me to the only gripe I have. The low end acceleration is becoming slightly irritating (especially witht he AC on). Its not "I hate this car" irritating, just "quite noticeable" irritating. This got me back into looking at a CAI/SRI, exhaust, drop-in filters, etc. The issue is, while my economic views have changed, the prices for aftermarket mods haven't. I am searching for the best return-on-investment for my desired end-result.
If this product does what it says for what it costs, then I'm willing to try it out. Hell, I'd even return it after the write-up (although if I could keep it, assuming its good, that'd be fine too). I've never heard of a product that does this, so I'm just interested to see the actual affects of the product. My review would be based on a normal guy point of view. I want to see if it affects my gas mileage, if it really does give better acceleration, if I could actually see myself buying this and how easy it is to install vs intakes/exhaust. I know what aftermarket intakes can do for acceleration and throttle response, so I have a baseline to compare with. My car sits bone stock, so it should qualify. I'm not sure if you are looking for a GTS though, but if you are I'm ready and waiting. I'm not even sure this thread is still active. I'm also fully aware that nobody knows who the hell I am, but I promise a fair review. If this is a good product, it'll get a good review. If this thing is BS, I'll slam the hell out of it.
Well...thats what I've got...interested?
