Thumbs up Buschur Aluminum shifter bushings

My friend andrew picked me up a set of Buschur 5 speed shifter bushings last weekend at the mitsu vs subi event. Lately my shifter felt real sloppy and I was missing gears in races and just plain drivability sucked. I installed them yesterday and I noticed a huge difference. Shifter feels alot more firm and goes into gears very easy and clean. For just 28 bucks it was really worth it.

Big ups to BR

They're not. There's a certain order you have to put everything back together. I fought with mine for several hours before figuring this out. Once I did, it took less than two minutes to install.

A 15 min install...shifting feels much more definate...each gear clicks into place...I did install mine using some anti seize...I don't race but the Buschur kit feels like it should have been on the EVO in the first place...too much play w/the rubber bushings.

+1 on the Evo having these from the get go......just dropped a set in mine today...the small bushing was a PITA but it's on there now and doing what it's supposed to...On my IX with 10k miles...I'll rate these bushings at a 4/5 as far the improvement in shifter feel I got from them.

I was wondering this since I have the Kartboys in my shifting linkage. I tend to get some lockout at times when I am shifting at higher rpms. I'm a little apprehensive though about cold weather problems since they are metal.

Just remember that with a solid bushing any shift mistake is going to be much harsher on the tranny internals. The same thing goes with a short shifter.

Not sure ... never really thought about that to be honest with you. I'm planning on buying a Winter Beater for the winter anyways, but if I decide to drive the Evo through the winter, I'll be sure to update this thread.
