It very well could be. Carbon fiber (or even fiberglass for that matter) can be difficult to work with, and easy to screw up. The end product could quite easily fall apart, and/or not last as long, especially if exposed to weather and air moving through it at high speed. My personal opinion on rip-offs is you're simply giving money to somebody that is only concerned with making $$, and has little concern for quality. They have no name or reputation to uphold, and once word gets out about their product being junk, they'll just move on and rip something else off. Of course the people that bought the junk will ***** even though they knew what they were getting into.
The companies that spend the time and $$ on the R&D, and quality assurance are the ones that get my money

C means that if you drive to the point where if you replaced the real version of the part with the fake one that it would legitimately hurt your times. As someone said above if you aren't then its a moot point no? .
