ACT & Meth Install @ Tuning Tech... A+
ACT & Meth Install @ Tuning Tech... A+
Well after 35K miles it was time to replace the stock clutch and add a few goodies to the equation (Meth kit, GM 3 port solenoid, Zeitronix failsafe, solid motor mount, etc.)...I brought the car over to Alfred and the gents at Tuning Technology in Colton, Ca. and all I can say is that I am very, very, very happy. Alfred and team run a great business, know the EVO inside and out, and have great customer service.
The ACT clutch engages better than new, the transmission throw is amazing, and attention to detail (e.g. hiding wires and making the kit stealth) are second to none. I can't wait until 500 miles are up so I can really drive the heck out of it....
Thanks Tuning Technology!!!

Controlling boost via the ECU (GM3 port or just modified ECU) is significantly better than an MBC....That said, installing an MBC is easier....I am waiting for my clutch to be broken in before turning up the boost and doing the final tune @~26psi, but my guess is that I will be close to 350 whp maybe more....Eventually I will go a larger turbo green or 30R variant and cross the 400whp range (with a great torque curve).
