It's worth it for a daily driver if you have access to multiple gas stations that supply E85. All you need is larger injectors, E85 and a good tuner. He has all 3!!

Nice! Go E85! Does it have any negative side effects? Is ethanol better or worse for your car than gas (assuming you are tuned right?)

The biggest and best mod the car needs now is driver improvements.

Glad you took my advice and went to English Racing. I knew you'd be happy with the result.

Yes, there are huge gains for a E85 tune on a stock Evo you just need a big fuel pump.
Lucas did it on a stocker and was clicking off 11.3 's in the 1/4 mile he posted it on here a year or 2 ago I will see if I can find the thread and link it.

You realize this is on my stock 8 turbo, so it still spools instantly !

Maybe I heard him wrong, I will hook up my AFR gauge today if I get time but I swear he told me I would see AFR's around 14.7 or 15.1 in the upper gears.

That no lift shift is sweet, all the guys at the track were asking if my gate was VTA cause it was so loud when I shift.

If the dyno's gas analyzer is set up for gasoline, it will convert lambda values to gasoline AFR numbers. The ethanol may be very close to 1.0 lambda which would translate to 14.7 AFR in gasoline.

1.0 is still pretty lean on alcohol though. I would think .90 would be the safe spot. So that would show somewhere in the 13's for gas AFR.

Its not 15:1
It left here on our shop wideband at 11.5:1

The innovative that was in the car was not hooked up, calibrated or even wired.

Cruise AFRs are 15-16:1 on E85

No need for a double pumper on the stock turbo or even a green.

Are all the rubber hoses, gaskets on the evo's E85 compatible? You also have to have stailness tanks/lines, and E85 compatible injectors.

I ask because Im thinking about running my evo on E85 and I have built a custom one off race car using a CBR250 out of japan, we turbo charged it and REVed the thing to 20k rpm, running 10 to 15psi of boost. The only way we could do it was to run E85 because meth was not allowed in our class. We had challage after challange finding fuel pumps, injectors and hoses all E85 compatible. You get really sick of seeing a rubber fuel line turn into a balloon after a couple of days of running :-)

Im running Buschurs Double pumper, all stock lines, Aeromotive FPR, PT 1600cc injectors, AEM injector driver box. It works really well and its so much fun pulling up to the pump and filling your tank for $20 and driving away and still having 600+HP lol.. E-85 is awesome even on a stock car..

Not exactly a correct statement..
It's not a necessity, but there is a need for a dual pump set-up for a green turbo if you want to take advantage of all the power it can make for you.

Very nice times with the car. E85 is excellent fuel. Thanks for using our Stages on the car.

If you get to where you do need the double pumper we are using fuel line made to work with E85, SS clamps inside the tank and a SS fuel filter. A lot of people are running E85 so we have upgraded all the parts we could in the fuel system.

Good job.
