2.0L twinscroll 4088r build results
All right, I'm finally back in the US after my stint in the army. The build was mainly completed in Germany (thanks Steffen Thormann @ Just-Solutions!) but we weren't able to finish it because of time restrictions. Tony at UMS put the finishing touches on the setup including some fine custom fabwork to recirculate the wastegates, and tuned her on a Dynapack. 91 yielded 440whp and 370tq at 20psi, and E85 yielded 580whp & 470tq at a very conservative 30psi.
Engine mod list is as follows:
Full-Race GT4088R twin-scroll turbo kit (1.06 housing, A/C intact, HPC coating, dual 44mm Tial WG), 3" AVO catless exhaust, Buschur Stage 3 shortblock (Eagle Rods, JE 9:1 pistons and ARP rod and main bolts), Buschur Stage 3 head, Piper Rally cams, Piper springs & retainers, Switzer COP, AEM Twin-Fire Ignition, Gizzmo phenolic intake manifold gasket, Ku Engineering intake manifold, Buschur 65mm ported TB, custom Just-Solutions designed air-water intercooler (Bell Intercoolers core, BMW 5xx radiator, Ford Lightning intercooler pump, 3" piping), Tial 50mm BOV, RC 1600cc injectors, AEM Peak/Hold Injector Driver, Perrin Fuel rail, dual Bosch 044 fuel pumps, Golan fuel filter, Lancershop FPR, AN fuel lines, Forge front engine mount, Kevlar timing belt, CBRD radiator, CBRD/NASA gold pimpage, custom 4" intake with AEM 12" filter by UMS Tuning, AEM EMS with AEM MAP, UEGO, EGT and boost control solenoid
The injectors were at 74% duty cycle on E85, and it turned out that we didn't even need to kick in the second fuel pump. Surprisingly, the Lancershop FPR was enough as well, although we ported the inside of it to match the diameter of the AN lines. The A2W IC is great... at 80* ambient, IAT didn't climb above 125* even on successive pulls. Water temps on the hottest days so far have been under 110* (if the pump works LOL). The car is an absolute blast to drive... the A046s struggle for grip through third. Of course, it didn't take more than a few days for the tranny death whine to start.
After the tranny gets built, we're going to increase boost. Love the E85!

Thanks! Hopefully, once I get my finances straightened out we'll see how the A2W holds up in the summer at PIR. So if you know anybody that needs some dental work, send them my way
