What piping option did you go with? if it's brushed, it's for sure SS

Thanks!

The easiest way will be the magnet test.

We just took the OP's out of his car and they will be up for sale shortly. The rust is not that bad but it is there. Man those things are HEAVY.

Maybe ETS will exchange it for an aluminum UICP, otherwise there is Nisei.

So this whole thread was started for what reason? I understand that some rust would be irritating but it seems that its pointless if wasnt too bad and is being replaced with something else anyway.

It comes down to haters are going to hate The thread was put up for 1 reason and it's pretty obvious what the reason was.

We stand behind our products and our customers 110% and offer some of the best customer service in the industry.

If the OP would have read the original thread, he would have noticed we are replacing the Mild Steel piping with Stainless Piping for the cost difference.

We don't build aluminum piping, unless it's a special request. The Aluminum piping tends to get over tightened by the customers and the tube creases.... when this happens it's impossible to get a good seal. The Stainless is heavy duty and allows the clamp to be as tight as possible without hurting the tube.

We receive calls daily about damaged aluminum piping.

Thanks,

Michael

So send yours back in and take ETS up on their exchange offer. Problem solved. You should have just contacted Michael in the first place.

In Chris's defense, I dont think when he bought it it was offered as mild steal. I actually had the same issue but with my 1g and at the time of purchase it was offered as SS and was not. I then sent them an e-mail and pics and they told me to send them (pipes) in to them so they could look at it further, Which suggests they thought they were working with SS the whole time. Being my DD I did not have the time to do that and they would not send out replacement pipes first even after the pics. I don't want to get into a pissing match over this, I'm just stating the facts and I'm sure there are more people with the same situation.

Either way, ETS will fix the problem. The SS piping is alot heavier, but we use it because we have done some major damage to aluminum piping and dont wanna wory about split welds anymore

my biggest problem with this is, i bought this piece for what $200, now i gotta pay shipping there and back and also $75 to ipgrade to what they originally was think was SS in the begining. Its just a frustrating thing. Im not trying to insult ETS or be in a pissing match. Just speaking my mind and am frustrated since everyone here busts our butt for our cars and what we have done to them to see rust on a piece that was advertised as SS is frustrating.

OP,

There was no reason to start this thread, especially since you link a thread that has the resolution within it.

That thread was closed because an acceptable solution was given by ETS.

This thread is being closed because we went through it in the other thread.
