Hello all,
About a month ago i ordered a rebuilt stock TB for my evo 8. My stock ones aperture seals were going and some other issues (previous owner must have gone heavy on the carb cleaner and with a scouring pad on the butterfly chamber and the "goop" was gone)
I ordered up the $99 rebuild special. My car is my daily so paid the $300 core charge. 2 days later the TB was in my hands. Thats CA to CT shipping. the USPS isnt usually that fast. Anyways, the unit was well packed and was beautiful when pulling it out of the box. unfortunately circumstances didnt allow me to install it right away but a few days ago i did.
Aby delivered everything i expected and hoped for. Ive had my car for almost 2 years previous and this is the best its ever been. Throttle response is better, boost is better. and it looks a hell of a lot better than the 8 year old unit i sent back!
I (probably) could have replaced the aperture seals myself. and i could have spent hours getting the tps and butterfly spacing perfect. Im glad I had Aby do it as the quality of work was beyond what i could have done.
Since ive owned my evo i havent been able to do many $100 mods, but this one was perfect. Highly recomended and way better than i expected.
