Stage 1+ Results

Just picked up the car and it pulls like a ****. Really happy with the set up and i'm not sure why peeps complain about the idle cuz the idle with the 272s seems like stock to me...just a hint of lumpiness but nothing bad at all. I'm not sure what the cam gears are set at. I'm a bit disappointed as I ordered the AEM 5 bolts but ended up getting the HKS Cam gears.. Not sure how this effects the end results but either way i'm really happy. Anyway, enough to that rambling...check out the results

1. Dyno was a Mustang AWD Dyno (one that notorious for low readings)
2. 93 Octane Gas
3. Boost Max 21psi tapering to 18psi

Before:
Mods: Greddy Ti, UR DP and Test Pipe
WHP: 215.6@6550
Torque: 226.0@3800

After:
HKS Cam Gears
HKS 272/272 shafts
Greddy Type S BOV
Xede
XedeFlash

WHP 275.1@6400
Torque 256.2@3900

The torque seems to have increased the least but this is very misleading. If you read the graph the torque is up throughout the rpm range and is over 200lb/ft all the way thru 7300rpm vs before where the torque fell below 200lb/ft at 5200rpm.

Overall i'm really happy with how hard the car pulls. From what i was told by the tuner, who has done 264/272 and 272/264 the 272s seem to pull the best on the top end, but do sacrifice some low end torque.

Shiv - What do you think? Anyway suggestions/comments.

Thanks

Very nice results, how much power did you lose down low? I'm trying to decide which combination to get for cams, I think I might go with the 272/264 or the 264/272, not sure yet..

Yeah and uhhhh like everything else too....(I'm kidding big time) Congrats...i'm working towards Stage 1+ too. I'll have stage 0+ shortly....and stage 1 since all i need is some gears. I don't think we have any close dynos around here though which sucks. Have fun!
