I ended up getting a good deal on a package that included the wires, plugs, cusco titanium strut bar, etc...so i bought them all for a few hundred bucks. Then, I got the injen intake and upper i/c piping for $350 shipped to my door. I'm not worried about money, can't take it with you when you're dead...might as well use it while you're alive.

Maybe, but it brings up a good point that while one can buy any of over 100 gadgets for the EVO, be advised that where making additional power is concerned...meaning power that extends past the ad copy onto the dyno sheets, many of them if not most are useless.

Because the Xede controls boost so no MBC is needed. Go with the Xede.

Whereas an MBC is like a pocket knife, an Xede is like a surgical scalpel. If you have the latter, the former appears to be rather primitive and crude by comparison.

I hope this analogy helps.

Im still using my MBC with the XEDE, just because im not certain on how to adjust boost or have a way to adjust boost on the XEDE yet, so I have just left the mbc hooked up.

I understand. My only point was that for 350 bucks you could have gotten a downpipe. That guarantees horsepower. For the other stuff you could have gotten a high flow cat (approx $150). I'm not telling you where to get it from <<cough>> buschur <<cough>>.

If saving money is a priority, look for some slightly used parts. I purchased a used XEDE for 650 shipped plus paypal fee. BTW, Shiv rules.

Ok, you asked where to get your Stage 1 installed. I went to FIS(Forced Induction Systems) in McKinney. Jason and Steve are badass. They did it fast and even put it on the Dyno for free to check A/Fs.

here is mine stock
