Dallas Stage 1 Install

Ok, so I just took my car to the dyno today and I'm not very happy. So far the only performance mods are the injen intake with upper i/c piping, a set of Nology Hotwires, and Iridium spark plugs. I want to order the Vishnu Stage 1, but who in the Dallas area should I go to for the install?

AFAIK, you shouldn't expect to get much of anything with an upper IC and the Injen intake, and you shouldn't get anything significant from fancy wires or the plugs. I'd expect your car to give stock dyno numbers.

What were the numbers and what type of dyno?

It was on a Mustang dyno at FIS in McKinney. Read out at 219.2 HP and 231.5 TORQUE. I knew the fancy wires and plugs wouldn't do anything, wasn't sure what the intake and piping would do. I was just planning on having more than 219.2 WHP...more like 240ish.

Is the stage 1 a good way to go or should I just throw and exhaust on, have my MBC installed, throw cams on and have it flashed?

My suggestion is to take out the nology wires, injen intake and install the Stg 1 parts. Don't bother with the MBC.

Why wouldn't I just leave those on and install the stage 1? If this is a dumb question, please be nice!!

Ditto Shiv's suggestion. No sense in fiddling with piddly mbcs and other primitive gadgets if you're even considering going the relatively high-tech Stg 1 route.

FWIW, I'd be hesitant to leave the Injen intake on unless you are going to dyno tune the car using an Xede.

It was on 93 gas and about 80-85 degrees inside FIS when it was dynoed. Let me know (PM if you get the chance) what your dyno is after the injen install.

You will need to post A/F logging as well if you really want to know what's going on with the intake. Be advised.

Agreed! Also the MBC will straightline a boost target with the Xede we can control boost response based on the RPM (of course load is a factor) but none the less we can give you significant Torque were the MBC trims the fat (good in this case) like a butchur

Question is why did you spend money on parts that aren't guaranteed to make power? How much did you spend on those parts? And could you have gotten a downpipe and/or exhaust for that amount of money...
