Paul Gerrard says to launch the Exedy from above 6500 RPM.
Don't drop the clutch too fast. If you slip it a little, the boost will come up and nothing will be able to catch you.It takes getting used to.
Here's what he wrote to me;
Re: How do I launch the Exedy twin plate?
First, rpm's are your friend. minimum is about 6500
a quick slip is all that is needed if you are feeding in a lot of throttle at the same time. that is how most people screw up, by not feeding in enough throttle as the clutch starts to grab. That clutch loves to slip so don't baby it (it can handle it, ok!). The engagement point is short so you will need to get a feel or where it starts and ends, then rev it up let it out as you add gas and hang on for a low 3 second 0-60 run!

I will try that again but every time I do that it drops right on my face and then start to pick up speed, I put and intake, catalic converter and with this cluch I'm doing worse than the stock cluch.. what should I do?
i have the twin plate and i agree fully. all u need to do is rev past 6k and slip.. you have to be progresive with the gas and then push it to the floor. thats how u get some great times. if u drop it too fast.. u get mega wheel hop and u start to break things as well.

Feed in more gas, let the clutch grab a little more. You have to keep the RPM's in that sweet spot around 6000 rpm
.Practice the process slowly untill you can do it faster and faster. Once you get it down, no street car will be able to touch you through 1st and second gear. Not one.
The mid RPM hop bothers me too. I just got one of those Weapon R engine dampers. I'll be installing it in 2 weeks to see if it helps with the chatter. Might be a quick fix. If it does it will save my engine mounts (hopefully).
