Noize, when I had only this:

260 AWHP with
Dynoflash
Cat Delete
Catback (NO DP or anything else)
MBC at 21 psi

I ran a 12.8 @ 106 with a 1.73 60' at Ennis which is a slow track compared to some in CA.

Now with the TT flash and a DP and HKS RS added, I have dynoed ~300 AWHP while pulling timing on pump gas and 19 psi.

Since that dyno I have installed 264's, lower IC pipe, crank pulley, O2 housing and have not been dynoed and the track is closed for winter. Also, I am in no hurry to get back to the track for more launches on my weakening stock clutch.

So take that for whatever it's worth to you. BTW, all dyno numbers are on a Mustang so mark it up for a Dynojet.

I'm not too different from you, bud.

When I had an SAFC, muffler delete, and test pipe, I went 12.9@107. It was ~260whp on a Dynojet. No DP, 19psi on a Hallman MBC.

Going to Stage 1 with XEDE, cam gears and a full exhaust, and dumping the MBC, I gained 40whp, and made 300whp at Alamo in Dallas.

After that, I had the same setup retuned by Shiv at Dyno4mance. I switched exhaust manufacturers, and now on a Dyno Dynamics, the car went from 263whp to 271whp with identical mods as the Dallas setup. I attribute part of this gain to the fact we were using a superior dyno for tuning purposes.

After that, I went to 264 cams on both sides and the AMS intercooler and lower pipe, and with me tuning this time, I extracted 283whp DD. Lots more area under the curve, but not too awesome of a peak number, as Shiv is obviously better at this than I am.

Finally, with the Tommi Makinen turbo and header, I made 300whp on Dyno Dynamics. Shortly afterword, Shiv retuned it and cleaned it up everywhere under the curve, making 305whp pump and 318whp race. For dynojet junkies, this is ~350whp pump and ~366whp race.

So here I am, still on the poor OE clutch at 25k miles, with 100whp more than when I trapped 107mph and ran a high 12. In good weather and an awesome pass, I'd love to see an ~11.8@116mph, but I'd be satisfied with a 12 flat and 114mph, to set a more realistic and conservative goal on this dying stock clutch.

I was answering why a crank pulley would pull timing. Nothing directed at you.

That's a great setup Seth.

Wow nine pages on this topic I had dynoflash and it had more torque than my stage 1. It did feel faster since torque is what you feel but on dyno my stage 1 made more power. I don't want to read this whole thread since 9 pages is toooooooo long but I would be curous to know weight difference bewteen two cars with drivers. 200 pound difference will would make a big difference.

Weight difference would be about 75 lbs total at most. That is less than a car length in a 1/4 mile. Even less of a distance over a shorter distance and less of a distance starting from a roll as we did.

Ok Ok, man this is a long thread. Lets put it this way. I do not think my car is SICK as some say. I am running a base map and come to find out my cam gears are set at the oringinal Stage 1 configuration -5/-5. I m not sure if that hurts but will get it fixed. Cody is a badass driver and I do rather suck any way you put it. Honestly I dont think it was 5 cars. At the end of 3rd on the 2nd run when I didn't hit the limiter cody was a 1/2 car to almost a car and then in 4th he did pull maybe another 2. Now please dont flame me for this Cody as you car is faster but it was on a dark unfimiliar road. I did shut down maybe 2-3 second into 4th. Dont get me wrong Cody whooped my *** fair and square but I DO NOT think my car is sick. I am still running that DYNOFLASH Stage REV, still have the stock air cleaner in, I do weigh 230 pounds and I did have almost a full tank of gas. I am not tuned either, just the base map.

Cody, is and awesome guy and I plan on a grudge match. I still havent figured out my powerband on this car and hope that Cody can give me a few pointers.

I know a lot of excuses. Im just trying to defned myself.

Marginal at best IMO. Maybe 5whp peak and the powerband moved up a little bit. The lift is the same, and 8 degrees of duration alone isn't going to amount to much. I went with the 264s for the idle quality.

I don't buy the fact that a crank pulley will cause timing to be pulled. It would take some serious amplitude to transmit the frequency of noise that the knock sensor picks up through the accessory belts into the pully, through the pully, into the block and to the knock sensor. The reason the rubber insulator is in the stock pully is to dampen torsional shock from the loading and unloading of the accessories (ie the A/C kicks on, heavy loading of the alternator, full lock on the PS pump) and all of these things happen too infrequently to transmit noise that would be interpretted as knock.

All I really want is a rematch. I would at least like to get in the passenger side of Codys car and see the diff. I am going to get a few things sorted out and will try again. Cody is not allowed to get that flash until we race again. J/K

Well???

I also just want to thank Cody for helping me with my clutch issue. I really appreciate your time Cody. Evo's owners are a breed apart. Finally, I think that with practice that i can get a little closer in the race. I will still loose but not by 3-4 cars

Thanks again Cody

How much gas was in the other car? Gas weight + driver weight + bad shifting on a dark unfimilar road = 3-5 car length loss
