I totally agree. Both the things that failed the bearing and then the turbo should not have. keep in mind they both went within a couple hours.
did they exclude the A/C compressor?
If so because of the drive angle of the belt this may load the power steering pump bearing more....is this the reason an aftermarket belt was used?
Is it over now?
Did they finish?

Vishnu & Co. should be commended putting forth the effort. It just wasn't in the cards this year. Hopefully they get a 2nd crack at the 25hrs. next year.
Thanks! There were a lot of cars sooooo close in time yesterday. I think most everyone had a good time, drivers and spectators alike. This EVO bunch make a great little community.
btw it was nice to see robi puttin it all together for a win!!

i mean, the car would pit in, and you can see the stock cast iron header manifold GLOWING orange/red.
effort quit around midnight....they were doing about 2:01's (awesome for a Stage 1+)...car's setup was excellent...cannards were interesting....front brakes were HUGE (Stoptech)...i mean, rotors were definitely 14"...don't think they'll fit our stock 17" wheels...IMPRESSIVE brakes!!
it was great to see the car at night....FLAMES spittin' out back..brakes glowing orange...very cool...pretty cool to witness the crew at work, in times of adversity.
it's just too bad it turned out the way it did. I don't know, but in my opinion, the CAR AND DRIVER/VISHNU team showed up to win - and not just compete. And that should be the attitude in motorsports anyway. Just for that...
With tons more knowledge about the EVO, I will be looking forward to seeing them kick some *** at their next motorsport event...good job
I must say whatever the out come was it was not for the lack of effort, when I swung by their pits this morning there was 2 or 3 Evo's in various states of dismantle all with a view of getting the race car back out on the track with all the Vishnu guys busting *** against some pretty **** luck!
