noisy fuel pump...a problem?

Guys,

I can hear my fuel pump whirring behind my seat and wondering if this is an issue that I should take up with Vishnu. I have a Stage 1+ with xflash. I can only hear it during idling and of course its hard to hear it with my Helix high flow exhaust when I am driving . Any opinions or should this issue go away on its own? Thanks guys! BTW, thanks to Shiv and Dave for helping me get through getting my Stage 1+ package together in time for the Tuning Tech dyno meet. Even with some shipment/exhaust fitment issues, they were very patient in getting it all together. Kudos for looking out for me!

if its not walbro, ask them if the pump is running at full voltage all the time... most of us with stand-alones are.. even stock i heard mine at an idle.

yep, its the walbro. You can hear it like some gears are grinding...not loud but not quiet enought to ignore at idle. I did not hear this when my Stage 1+ was initially installed and I only noticed this now.

My Walbro in my GST is really damn loud. Can even hear it modulating with the turn signal. It's normal.

Your pump sounds like it's fine. The nickname for the Walbro is the Whinebro . The pump was noisy as hell in my turboed Eclipse GS.

My walbro whines occasionally. Usually when it's cold or when I'm at idle...
