TME or 10.5cm Hotside?
I have the TME and love it. I would imagine that the install for the TME would be easier than the hotside. With the TME all you do is pull the old turbo out and put the new one in. The hotside sounds like a whole lot more labor beyond that. Do a search of the forums for my name and see some dyno results I got with it. Or, talk to Sigfrid there in Houston about my car, he knows all about it.

hot side
I had to remove the turbo from the car to install the hot side so both mods require removing the oil lines. The only difference between the two is that you have to separate the hot side to change it vs. swapping the turbos, but the work consists of removing 1 clamp so it is difficult to say there is a difference.
My opinion is to do the hot side and a O2 housing and then wait until a bolt on turbo comes out that has substantial capabilities.

According to these two vendors it comes with the 10.5. As for being the same as the 05 hotside, I would assume so but I don't have any part numbers to reference off of the TME to confirm this.

Although the TME turbo and the 05 turbos have a 10.5 cm^2 hotside, the wastegate design is different between the two. The TME 10.5 hotside uses an oval shaped valve, whereas the 05s use a circular.
