For the NW (Seattle) trip, will you be able to handle 7-8 tunes in about 8 hrs, including 2 big turbos ?
Hope you already have your travel plans arranged for the 23rd cus there's a few antsy people here.
In an ideal world, it shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure that the dyno shop is prepared to go overtime in case we run into snags. As for the big turbo cars, the most important thing for them to do is to ensure that their wastegate spring rate is high enough (1.2-1.4 bar) and that they already have a restrictor pill in the wastegate line (between the boost source and the "T"). If not, we wont be able to control boost with the XEDE and smiles will be turned upside down

Cheers,
shiv

Yikes! I am glad I am reading this now. I need to pull my restrictor out of the line of my old turbo.

how long has it been mbg? seems like quite a while. i and everyone else for that matter are expecting BIG things from this built beast you have been putting together for 1/2 a year now. perhaps first 10 second usdm sti running the 2.5l?

i meant that usually when you run a tight schedule, theres always going to be small issues that come up and take time away, think that people on both sides need to understand that. i.e the customer being tuned and the customer waiting to be tuned whoever else has a problem.

lets not forget what perpetuated all this.. good old al bragging about making the same power as shiv and starting the dyno pull sooner to give the impression that he was magically able to make the turbo spool much sooner than shiv was able to.

Its been about 6 months....your right.
Anyday now the car should be done,...
We were gonna go and make some shakedowqn passes @ Sacramento tonight, but it looks as if the car won't be off the dyno in time.
I'll have to save my speed for Saturday.

I think if it does not run 10s Mark will be selling it real soon. New z06 is likely in his future. I say it goes 11.2 at 124 mph and he will not be happy with them result. His Bro thought that with a bolt-on AMS Turbo kit that he would go 10s also without being able to rev above 8000 rpm and he was disappointed with an 11.5 at 123 + mph hitting the rev limiter with basically a stock motor on 100 oct fuel. All he had to do is get his c-16 tune more dialed in and he likely would of got low 11s but he quit and gave up.
Tomi G FWIW patience is a virtue and eventhough my car had a couple issues after the turbo upgrade my patience has paid off. IMO ur car was close to runnin real great times for ur level of mods but you chose to give up and blame Shiv for ur cars times. I saw ur car trap 125mph I believe on one run but run in the 12s from what I remember. UR terrible 60 fts were the norm that day we went and 2.1-2.3 60ft were not goin to get u a great time. Ur revlimiter,ur 60 fts, shifting all have an affect on ur ET. In my mined u blew it when u severed ur relationship with Shiv and if u would of took my advice ur car would of been deep into the 11s right now.

This is some of the most rediculous crap I've ever read. Who the hell cares who he got his car tuned by....it works like HE wants it to now regardless of if he switched maps or whatever and I would expect no less myself. I think we all know that both Vishnu and Dynoflash have the appropriate skills to tune correctly and do so the majority of the time.

I have products from both camps and there are things that I like and greatly dislike about both....move on.

I think the point of the thread was that all the facts were not brought to life in the other thread. Not because al is tuning his car and someone is mad. Who cares?

Im glad he's happy, but nothing should have ever been said about it except by az3ar himself IMO. Its just to throw dirt, we all know that. This forum is simply a real life soap opera.
