Which Map
Which Map
Shiv,
I have an Exede V2 that I purchased in December of 2004. At that time you pre-loaded a 93 octane map for a stock 2005 GSR Evo and sent it to me. Since then I have installed a down pipe back exhaust system. I began getting cut out and you diagnosed an overboost situation (did not have a boost gage at the time). I went in and turned down the boost 10% and ended up with about 21psi of boost (purchased and installed a gage).
I assume my maf and timing maps are not appropriate. Since you don't have these maps on your web site for a 2005 GSR do I just install the 2003/2004 ones?
I'm not interested in the smart device at this time.
Bill

Wow 05 maps? Amazing!
by the way, what do i need to get more boost? my xede maps are already at 100%. there is a boost solenoid emulator on the install instructions, is this what i need? i have an 05, and its only spiking to 1.5 bar or so.

I just got this in an email from them:
"As for the boost solenoid emulators you don’t need it unless you have an 05’ EVO"
Well DUH, i DO have an 05 evo! i included that on my order for the Xede. they just didnt give me one. maybe thats the problem then.

The emulator is not a necessity. It allows for a bit more boost. Some cars will hit thier target boost fine and others seem to be a bit more stubborn. The emulator will allow for another lbs or two. Its not going to hurt anything to run an 05 without it.
bump for 05 maps.
i talked to two different people at Vishnu today and they cant even seem to e-mail me one.
Its getting pretty bad, I've been a customer since Ive had my 02 wrx and I'm starting to lose loyalty pretty quik.
