Which Map

Shiv,

I have an Exede V2 that I purchased in December of 2004. At that time you pre-loaded a 93 octane map for a stock 2005 GSR Evo and sent it to me. Since then I have installed a down pipe back exhaust system. I began getting cut out and you diagnosed an overboost situation (did not have a boost gage at the time). I went in and turned down the boost 10% and ended up with about 21psi of boost (purchased and installed a gage).

I assume my maf and timing maps are not appropriate. Since you don't have these maps on your web site for a 2005 GSR do I just install the 2003/2004 ones?

I'm not interested in the smart device at this time.

Bill

OK, a few weeks. If not, this forum is going to hear a lot from one unhappy (ex) Vishnu customer. Promise.

I have the same issue after upgrading to V3. I am actually at 1.2-1.3 bar where as I used to get >1.6 bar.

I just got this in an email from them:

"As for the boost solenoid emulators you don’t need it unless you have an 05’ EVO"

Well DUH, i DO have an 05 evo! i included that on my order for the Xede. they just didnt give me one. maybe thats the problem then.

The emulator is not a necessity. It allows for a bit more boost. Some cars will hit thier target boost fine and others seem to be a bit more stubborn. The emulator will allow for another lbs or two. Its not going to hurt anything to run an 05 without it.
