New way of boost ctrl for Xede

Have any one tried to hook up the stock Solenoid the following way ??
Will this change the bleeder type of stock Boost control to a perfet Adjustable MBC type of boost control ? basicly at 1% the wastegate will be totally closed and at 100% the wastegate will be 100% open. please comment

Your BCS will be your flow retriction. It will only flow so much.

the stock Wastegate only need 12-14 psi to fully open
you dont think the stock BCS can flow 12-14 psi ??
with 22 psi pushing it though from the other end ?

Just half thinking about it, it's not the psi that's the problem it's CFM. I expect that setup to spike and or oscillate. Without the addition bleed capability where is eventually going to go?

I could be wrong though.

I am wrong... but the question still remains where is the pressure bleeding off too? You only have a two port solenoid. For this to work you will need a 3 port.

+ Manifold Pressure

BCS - Bleed Source

Wastegate NIpple

Thanks,

so I can ditch the stock bleeder type of boost control
and have faster spool and more peak boost.

basicly I want a hallman type of adjustable controller with the Xede

several ways to get more peak boost, and to get it to hold longer. You won't notice a spool gain with a MBC over the xede and the stock BCS on the stock or WR turbo.

I can see 29psi peak and hold 22-23 at 7800 with the xede and the stock solenoid.

Change your solenoid to a 3 port style. You may need to revise the wiring so that the new Solenoid creates the same current draw as the factory unit.

that I dont know until I try it.
but I would like for the wastgat not to see any pressure until my target PSI is reach in this case the stock Bleeder type boost ctrl can't do.

and MBC could. However I can't have a table with MBC
I just figure it would be the perfect of both world with this setup

check the set up vulcan reccommended somewhere in the vishnu forum recently to get the control of mbc and efficiency of the xede to prevent boost spike. I did it the way he stated and now I have the best of both world.
