50/50 alky/water map vs methanol map

ok here is my situation. i'm running the 330 plus 93 octane map on my evo (with the appropriate mods of course). now i'm adding alcohol injection. its the smc kit with a 100 psi pump. i know i need to make a new map based off of the one i have. i read the instruction in the methanol/race gas map sticky in this forum. problem is that is for 100 percent methanol and i'm only going to be running 50 percent so i don't want to just run that map in danger of me running lean and blowing up. my question is, what would be the differences in the settings from the instructions for making a 100 percent methanol map so that i can make a 50/50 map? like how many points of X do i take away? how many of Z do i add and so forth. thanks for any help.

Hmm.... not sure I can help you there. I don't recall doing many 50/50 mixture set-ups. They never performance anywhere close to 100% set-ups. As a result, I don't have any mapping suggestions other than to be careful. Best bet would be to get on a dyno and make small changes at a time. With water mixtures, it's just as easy to lose power than it is to gain it

Shiv, Uh you tuned my Stage 1 with my Aquamist Water Injection set up running a 50/50 water and methanol mix on 91 octane gas. I'ts been running running pretty good. I was able to trap at 106 MPH at the Strip in Las Vegas several weeks ago. This was done using crappy Arco 91 octane and my water/alcohol mix. If you would have had more time with my tune, I'm sure you could have squeezed some more power out of it.

Sure, here's the map as an attachment. Shiv if you recall in a past thread, you recomended that I use a more agressive S.M.A.R.T. fuel and timing map which I did and it worked out very well with my car. That is the only change I did to the map that you did at Tuning Technoligies.

so what adjustments would you make to a 93 octane map? what supporting mods do you have? finally, why can't i open the map with xmap2? I can only open .XMD files and not .XM3.
