Getting all the MIVEC control logic incorporated in the XEDE without a complete re-engineer isn't an easy task. It is not a simple 3D PWM output like boost control. The factory MIVEC system uses a closed loop, self-regulating logic that adjusts oil pressure based upon RPM, load AND cam position. This is the technical challenge we are dealing with in regards to the EVO 9 Xede. Fuel, timing and boost control is the simple part. That stuff took 5 minutes with the help of a ecu pinout diagram. So unless you think that programmable MIVEC control isn't important or want to build a stand-alone supplementary PID control box, give us the time we need. Okay?

I should have been more specific, actually I meant the extra connector needed to get the ECU into the mode necessary to read from it. So the final product would have three connectors, no? Unless there's another method to read from the Evo ECU...

I understand that there may be complications and thats to be expected, but I'm not askin you to have it done by next week, I'm just askin for a ETA. Thats all.

If its gonna be a long time (2 or more months) then just say so, so I can sell the Xede and get a flash or something else.

We don't have an ETA for MIVEC control. Fuel, spark and boost work right now. As does a plug-in harness.

The full feature list will be revealed when its ready for sale. It already can do things that we can't do with EcuFlash and a laptop. And with daisy chained to laptop, it does quite a bit more. Use your imagination. It will also offer substantial utility for tuners when it comes to protecting their IP.

If there is a harness available and control of fuel, spark, boost work, then maybe you should release it, sans the MIVEC control (yes, I know its important in making power on the IXs).

Or would you like to get everything (boost, fuel, spark, mivec) working before you release the harness and update?

OMG another post

Oh boy I hope it comes out soon. I have a question though, with the XFlasher will we need to modify the vacume hoses (ie pull out the pill) or is it true plug and play? consider me pre- preodered

what it does

Um, it allows you to reflash your ecu without a laptop hooked up. You save flashes on it and then plug it into the OBD and whalla! (sp?) 100 octane map loaded, whalla! 91 octane map loaded.

And even if i did not know what it was i would want one, because it is so sexah!

Thanks for all your hardwork with the Evo's Shiv. Its nice to see Engineering types working with our vehicles that understand the whole car. Looking forward to seeing the final product!
