Having run Cobb AP on my WRX for a year or so, I can just say I am most interested in this product for my new IX MR and will be following this thread closely.

I hope it doesn't have the same limitation as the AP for the number of flashes...

Why do you assume that your laptop will have the same functionality as the XFlash? I don't recall ever giving a full list of features so, at this point, you're just speculating and nay-saying. Which is cool if that's what you like doing

Hmm... stock ECU will take like 100 AP flashes. Not sure why anyone would need more than that...
You can use real time maps without doing a "flash" y'know.
The thing that's cool about the AP technology is that Cobb (and now, I hope, Vishnu) can package standardized tuning solutions based on known parameters for different "stages" that give owners that don't want to go the whole custom tune route (or remove, mail, and re-flash their ECU) a path to proven, safe power upgrades.
Cobb AP works extremely well, and number of flashes is just not an issue.

It can hold more than one map, so you can reflash w/out a laptop. Looks like it'll be write only, though. I don't see it having more functionality than that unless Vishnu has added more features to it since the original post.

It can read too. As well as have built-in memory for on-board data logging. And other stuff as well.

Cool, so I assume that the final version will have two plugs, not just the OBD-II connector, correct?
