Guess what this is?
That makes sense. Good work guys, and please pass along my respects to Lachlan Riddel the next time you speak with him.

David and Dustin, tell Shiv good work.
One note of importance I'd really like you to read, though:
My dislike of the Cobb AP is that you have to go to a "Protuner" to be able to really manipulate the maps. I have a local friend with the Cobb Street Tuner, and it has so little flexability on the dyno. Compared to an XEDE or even a UTEC, I had almost no freedom to make *compelling local changes throughout the rev range. As the person tuning, I want _total_ control of the ECU like the XEDE and Protuner software has.
If someone is willing to pay the money for a device like this, they should have the complete ability to do whatever they want to manipulate fueling, boost, and timing (within what parameters the stock ECU can handle, of course). With the Street Tuner, a tuner is very limited. To add insult to injury, the cost to become a Protuner is pretty substantial.
The beauty of Vishnu to me is that you have always given the end user the flexibility to tune his car throughout any of those above parameters he/she wishes. If this Xflasher has that ability (including injector scaling), it will have a substantial leg up on the competition. The ability to have multiple flash maps and the possibility to fully have access to the settings yourself would open a whole new door for reflash users.
I can tell you without asking that Dyno4mance (and company) will be very excited about this product!
The big question is this: Will it be Subaru compatible? That would absolutely rule.

I know cij911 and I know that his post was made in jest to prod the Vishnu folks for more info on the exciting new product!
I don't think he's familiar with all the drama that's occurred here recently as he's not on here all that frequently.
I personally apologize on his behalf for his poorly worded post, but I assure you he was just interested in more information on the product as is evidenced by his first post where he expresses interest in 'Shiv's plan for the IX.'
Anyway, sorry for the OT, just wanted to throw that character reference in there and apologize for my bud. (by the way, he doesn't even know he's banned yet ... I'm about to call him up and laugh at him really hard)

Then the XEDE is for you

They (vishnu) probably won't make it so you can change parameters because thats what the XEDE does. This XFlasher will probably be 90-100% exactly like a COBB AP ie ability to change maps/flashes, go back to stock, etc. but probably no more.
For Xede users, we can probably use this to flash our ECU with the Xede flash to get rid of fuel cut and scale injectors.
For Xede users that don't really tune, this is gonna be a great option.
For Xflash users, they won't have to send their ECU to get flashed, will be able to go back to stock without having to send their ECU in, change maps when getting more mods, etc. Great if you don't like sending you ECU in all the time and if you like a little bit more control, but not as much control as the Xede give you.

This is excellent, what I have been asking for/waiting for...just like I had for my 03 Cobra (predator/sct). If it can load enough maps to cover the various logical upgrades as well as turning off the 02 and raising the rev limit I'm in heaven
