If anyone in the US will have parts it will be these guys. I'm sure Vishnu has already checked with them though . . .

Anyone consider stepping up to the Flag line rather than waiting for the R+T's?? They're nice!

It's not so much the hardware as it is the R&D put into making a perfect all-around combo with proper revalving, spring rates, ride heights, and damping all while remaining affordable. The Flags are even better, but those haven't been tested and configured by Paul.

+1 on what warrtalon said. I am aware of other vendors carrying the same parts...not to intentionally quote intel...but "it's whats inside"

Stepping up also becomes quite $$$$ when you add custom spring rates and a revalve for said rates, b/c you know damn well anything below 700 (12kg) is not enough for a fast SP/SM car.

I have run the flags (and did post the impressions a while ago). A quick recap: They have a very wimpy compression range that only adjusts in the mid-range (you want low speed adjustability). The low-speed compression ironically is influenced more by the rebound knob...(just like the R&Ts).

12kg/mm is approx 670 lbs/in
14kg/mm is approx 780 lbs/in
16 kg/mm is approx 890 lbs/in

1kg/mm is roughly 55 lbs/in for quick math

I take it those spring rates are higher than what normally is spec'd for the vishnu/ohlins?

700/900 is the highest they offer right now, I think. The normal street/track setup is 450/550, and there's one other combo in between. I got the chance to feel the 700/900 combo the day that I spent at the track with Paul. I rode down from the Springs in the back seat with those springs, then rode on track, and that's what convinced me I could go with the stiffest available. I do daily drive on crappy roads, but any stiffness is welcome in exchange for top performance on track.

Makes sense. I'm planning on running 275 Kumho 710's (eventually) and I'm trying to figure out what spring rates I'll need to make the best use of them.

You sure on the 275s? We've had a lot of discussion about that due to the 275/40s being too tall to fit. That's why so many of us use 285/30-18s, because they have a much smaller diameter, which allows them to fit with only fender rolling, and you get a bigger contact patch as well. I'd be using 275s on 17" RPF-1s if they would have fit.

Sure? Not really. One of the previous autox nat'l champ evo's was running them (Robert Love owns the car now, not sure who the previous owner was), so I was under the impression that it just required coilover and fender rolling. Looks like I might have to go for plan b: 255's.

Was it on a wide rim in SM/BSP, or was it on a stock rim bulging out over the edge? I know that people have run 275s on the stock rim in A-Stock, and they only fit the wheelwell due to being on such a narrow rim with the tire bulging over the edge.

There's a few people running the 275/40, but I'm not sure how, or they just don't care that it rubs.

17x9, BSP. It may have rubbed, but I'm not sure. The car these wheels were on is trailered and only driven in anger at the occasional autox. He's now running the same wheel/tire setup as you.
