My record is 385 miles on one tank at 75mph - didn't hit reserve until 345 mi.

I usually average 28-29mpg at steady freeway cruise.

Is your final drive gear stock? That's crazy mileage.

No gearing changes here. I'm using 850cc injectors as well.

The mileage is likely the result of cam timing and the Xede's SMART system, both of which are enabling the engine to run very efficiently right in that rpm range.

So jealous, SMART is the go for sure, not enough emphasis IMHO on how it drastically improves low-load efficiency

. . . which happens to be most advantageous for large turbo apps.

I get 21.xx on average since I got the car last year. I drove around 75-80 mph on the freeway and 70% freeway and 30% street.

I decided to SLOW the F down and see what will happen to my mileage. I drove at 65-67 mph for a whole tank and got 24.3 mpg. That includes one 3rd gear WOT log almost everyday. I bet that if I stop the logs (I am addicted to them), then my mileage will go up an additional 1 mpg.

Here is all my gas mileage data for one year.

^@ $3.20/gallon = $1491.216

Unfortunatly I spend more than that on 100 octane at the track a year.

Very close It is $1386.18. I have not taken the EVO to the track and I know I will have to use 100 octane. The irony is I use better gas on the EVO on the street than on my SE-R race car. The race car uses 91 oct gas.

I just got back from a weekend of driving the twisties. I drove around 390 miles. probably 100 of 80+ mph 4 lane highway and the balance probably 80% twisties of the scale of the Tail of The Dragon, mostly in full boost 2nd and 3rd gear and the balance was "normal driving" in 2 lane country roads with a good bit of boosting going on. I averaged 24.5 mpg ..........

So it looks like the secret to getting great mileage is the Smart upgrade then? I haven't heard of anyone getting stellar mileage with a re-flash so far.
