Adding Power Pack to SMART

Has anyone added an XS Engineering Power Pack II to a SMART-equipped EVO? I have a Stage 2 Evo with a 3071 turbo/SMART and have thought about getting the Power Pack. Will this require any significant changes to the SMART programming?

IMO, those ignition amps are worthless. What you need if you are getting misfire on race gas is to move your plug gap in to .023 or .024.

I also have a Stage 2 w/ 3071 and we had to do to this to all the upgraded turbo cars at the Dyno4mance/Vishnu dyno day. There was a 35R SMART car with an ignition amplifier, and it did not help the car at all. Reducing the gap is the best way. The Evo electrical system is pretty good.

Good luck.

Could I add that a .023" gap is a little too small....a .026"- .028" should be OK
