Do a boost leak test first. Being a DSM guy you should know how to do that. If not the directions are in the vfaq.

 

Let us know when you've figured it out and you're running low 12s.

 

yeah i know how to do a boost leak test. just gotta find a tester. yeah i cant wait to be in the low 12s... that much closer to 11s

 

alright an update with my situation. Im still stuck. i did a boost lead test and I dont have one. I spoke to Dustin and he suggested gettin it on a dyno to see if that would tell me anything. Is there another way around this or is there someone that lives around me that can help me out?

dyno. quick and easy solution to see what the power your Evo is putting down. best done with someone with some Evo pulls to compare with.

If not MZM Int., check out AlamoAutoSports.com for an AWD Dyno. I know it's a 2 hr. drive but it's worth getting it tuned, maybe you can get the talon tuned too.

 

For the power to be that far off (based on trap speed), i'd guess the cam timing is off (gear adjustment or belt).

Heck, one of my buddies just finished building up a 300zxtt, and we couldn't get the thing to start for the life of us and idle. Turned out the timing belt was off ONE tooth on the crankshaft.

Even pros make mistakes once in a while when installing stuff... if you want something done right, best to do it yourself! And if you mess up, well, no one else to blame
