I looked up some specs for the 335i and it's no stock IX. Some sites have the 0-60's listed at a 5.3 (which is damn quick for that car) and a 13.6 quarter with 106 trap speeds. That's quick but no IX and no M3. M3 can do 0-60 in 4.8 and a low 13 quarter (depending on the driver). And we all know what the IX can do....

Have you determined how many knock sensors are used with the 335i motor?

Shiv, Im sure you know this but,

learking on the bmw 335i forums for the past few months, they are just chomping at the bit for an ecu flash. I think somone said evosport has one in the works. Price is $1800.

Are you planning on anything with the 335i?

I'm going to be playing around with our car for a bit. I don't think we're going to take the flash option since it's one of the things that we wont be able to get away with with it comes to warranty preservation. There is just too many monitoring systems on the car for that to go unnoticed by the dealer or regional service rep. Heck, service and operating info is even stored in the key fob! And there are just too many, too expensive parts in this car to be exposed to without the bumper to bumpber warranty. Not to mention that the engine is in its first year (with turbos, at least) and has basically no track record when it comes to durabilty at higher than stock power levels.

I think what happens is that Dinan will warranty your car not bmw, I'm not 100% sure though.

Shiv do you have any plans for offering any engine management solutions for the bmw?

thread cleaned. Az3ar, i am asking you nicely not to post in this thread anymore. there are so many places on this board that you can post in that i really don't understand why do you insist on coming back here time and time again.

thanks

Blonde

p.s

i really like this new BMW and i am planning on taking one for a spin to see if it will be a good replacement for my LGT...
