my buddy just received his set of IX cams and we're going down to get tuned by Shiv in the next few weeks. It'll be interesting to see the results because we will have the exact same mod set up with the exception of the cams (drop-in,catless tbe, o2 housing, licp).

Yeah I'm hoping to hit right around 315-320whp/tq. on FFtec's MD considering many IX's are right around 295whp/tq. with just a flash and catted TBE, but who knows. I dont think any bolt on IX has hit that high of a number on this particular dyno running 91 oct. so we'll have to wait and find out. My friend is hoping to hit 330+whp on 91 with the addition of the GSC mivec cams, which would be really sweet.

I'm booked on the day before Thanksgiving to sort out the boost issues on my IX RS. I'm taking advantage of the need for the additional dyno time to install the cosworth cams, so we'll get some numbers of the car on both 91 and 100 octane. Should be interesting to see what the car puts down.

Are you going to do a before cam and after cam run on the same day? That would be great for comparison.

I will not be. It's too nuch effort and cost to do so. That said, I think the numbers will be a fair judge of the performance of the cams. All of the Evo 9's that have run on this dyno have run similar numbers (295whp), and we have dyno sheet from my own car without the cams (albeit with very poor numbers).

I think we can take the data from my run, overlay it with data from a similarly modded Evo 9, and get a fair comparison for people shopping these parts.
