I could care less about drag racing too, what you think I sit at home watching funny cars drag race on speed channel. I went to Cali Speedway over the weekend and got turned away because there were too many cars, they asked me if I wanted to pay to watch. Hell no, I busted a u-turn and went home. Your missing the purpose of the drag strip for many EVO owners, it's to test our cars power out, that's all I'm saying. I'm not in anyway dissing Shiv's tuning, but I still would like to see some 1/4 mile times out of some of these cars.

It doesn't really matter though, I mean I do honestly think Shiv is just an awesome tuner and he could probably tune a Geo Metro and make power. I'm sure one day some MS3 owner will recieve his tune and run some awesome numbers and put any of my skeptism to rest. I mean I was discussing cars like the BMW 335i with somebody on the internet, and he was saying, the BMW 335i is just an awesome car to tune, I said it's a great car, but honestly look at who is doing the tuning. Nothing special about the MS3, 335i, or even the EVO IX (ok maybe the EVO IX is just a little special ), it's the guy doing the tuning. Enough with this love fest, I feel really gay.

shiv how about the mazdaspeed 6? Theres a lot of us that need tuning any plans for that? If you can get 50whp off the ms3 im sure you can get similar on the ms6 and plus the AWD will make it more of a track happy car

Maybe I'll meet a couple on the streets, already ran into a modded 335i and I held him off with my lowly 309whp EVO IX.
I wouldn't call 309whp lowly That should be good for around 110mph trap speeds; the BMW probably would need about 340whp to match the trap speed. I'd guess the 290whp of the MS3 would put it around 107mph.... damn, I need to mod! fast!

One of my friends has a MS3 and it's pretty damn nice.

I actually think that's a GOOD thing. Trying to launch my turbo SE-R and not roast the tires in 1st and 2nd gear was a challenge; I got pretty good at throttle modulation in 1st. 2nd was tough though..... there's a fine line where you're just rolling into the throttle and keeping traction, and then trying to get into the throttle faster and end up spinning.

LOL!

Yeah has anybody seen the turbo on the MS3 and MS6, I mean it is pretty freakin' tiny, and it is pretty much maxed out from the factory. I mean I'm not just speaking out of my *** when I say stuff, seriously the MS3 and MS6 are virtually similiar when it comes to powertrains, and seriously many MS6 owners agree that 290-300whp is about the max range of when it comes to the power being maxed out on the stock turbo, and this is with bolt ons and tuning. But all a sudden a MS3 puts out this power with nothing other than a ECU upgrade. With bolt ons is this MS3 going to see 330whp, that is EVO IX range, and there absolutely is no comparison between the turbo in the EVO IX and MS3. I mean call me a skeptic all you want, but I have reasons for not believing everything I read. I mean it's the same thing with the EVO and STI, there are many reasons for the power differences between the two with bolt ons, but a major reason, is the stock EVO turbo in comparison to the STI turbo, I mean this is sh*t we all know. I know that with a couple of bolt ons and 23PSI my stock turbo IX is not going to make 400whp, I don't give a f*ck what the dyno says. I know my stock turbo will never see 500whp, the turbo has its limits.

Eh, dyno numbers are to be taken with a grain of salt when you're coming different cars, different dynos, different days.

BUT, going from 240whp to 290whp, same car, same dyno, same day, that's pretty damn good in my book for just a tune. I'll take 20%+ more power anyday!
