If you had the flash since September 2006, I find it very unlikely that you’d get your money back. One car length in second gear doesn’t really say much. Maybe you should’ve asked him for some sort of revision following a few logs (with EvoScan). I would guess for $750, that’s not too much to ask for.

It would've been 2-3 cars in 3rd. In only one gear, I was able to pull in front of him, change into his lane, and continue pulling after the shift. Then I/we let off.

Understood…I would've wanted a refund too.

Edit: But he should've tried to get it taken care of...like have it optimized for his car.

Have you swapped cars and tried it again? To rule out driver error?

search90020 and tuffguy,
You guys should put both cars on the (same) dyno to see how they compare.

Hey tuffguy,
I may have missed it, but what additional mods (besides the flash) do you have?

At the time, the same as him. He had K&N drop-in and the $750 v380, I had K&N drop-in and the $50 Jestr eFlash.

Since then I've gotten the Dejon MBC (@22psi) and the rally cat.

If someone wants to dyno us for free, I'm game.

Is that a k&n filter or intake? The filter is ok the intake is crap my friend was stock and had that on. Boostin around 23 lbs... Once he took it off it stoped.. His tunes are pretty much for stock intake.. Cuz that's how he tunes it.. With a stock intake...

Nah, I've driven both. The difference is very noticeable.

It's a poorly designed tune IMO. It's cool how the "emulator" causes a boost leak and tricks the solenoid, but it overworks the solenoid, injectors, fuel pump, and turbo, runs an "unsafe" amount of boost, and runs extremely rich to prevent detonation.

It's pretty widely agreed that on Cali **** water we shouldn't push more than 21-22psi.

tuffguy, how much whp gains do jestr flash's usually see on an otherwise stock evo 9?

I think the problem here is that the gains seen by the vishnu v380 flash are mostly top end hp gains, in 3rd and 4th. There isn't a whole lot of difference in the power band down low, look at theses dyno graphs: http://www.vishnutuning.com/images/e...vs_reflash.jpg

I would guess that if you guys would have done a 3rd or 4th gear pull when you were stock and he had v380 he would have pulled on you a bit, but your not going to see much in just 1 second gear pull. Just my 0.02

I think the reason the flash is so expensive on the 9 is because he flashes you using Ecutek.
you have to buy the license which is about $500. and then he charges $250. for the tune. = $750.00
