No Refund

Hey guys
I finally decided to share this with everyone. I purchased the v380 package from Vishnu, then a friend that also has a evo 9 (completely stock) we decided to do a 2nd gear run and to my surprise thet cars were identical. Even my friend was completely surprised thinking he was gonna get hosed. I called up Vishnu and they to were completely surprised. I decided to make a appointment to go there to Vishnu which is 7 hour drive (one way) plus 150 dollars in gas money. Anyways I got a call back from Calvin saying that Shiv was coming to Southern Caifornia and that i did not have to drive, which was great for me. On the day we were suppose to meet Shiv decides to to totally change the time and place we were scheduled to meet. I was not told of this until i called that same day of the meet.

I did not have a turbo gauge at the time and Vishnu knew this because i was asked numerous times if i had one in which my response was no, should i get one they replied with not yet or not right now. Anyways, on the day we were suppose to meet Shiv asked me again if I had a gauge i said no and he said "well nothing we can do even if we did it meet until you have gauge" Even after i spoke to Vishnu a week in advance when i made the the appointment i asked if i should buy one and have one installed, which was why i was very angry about how Shiv brushed me off like that. Long story short I got a turbo gauge and i was boosting to around 25 to 26 psi, and all I got is a k&n filter and there flash. My friend and I were pretty shocked. Anyways I decided to send my ecu back to get it back to stock and when i got it back it my car i was still boosting to 25 to 26 psi, so basically, my friend figured it out and removed the passive boost emulator that Vishnu had installed , and My car was back to normal boosting to 20 psi. Btw when my friend got his flash for 50 bucks compared to my $750 flash , i just got hosed pretty bad.

I ask for my money back from Calvin he said a refund will be issued but later decided that Shiv did not refund money on flashes, I was shocked how i was getting the run around after i was promised a refund, and on their site there was nothing where it does it saids flashes are non refundable, But their was a 25% restocking feein which i was even willing to settle for. After i asked for the refund then they asked me to drive down there again (14 hour round trip) But from how Vishnu treated me last time and how thet flaked on me, I did not want to do business with thme again. I have been nothing but patient and curtious to them and never rasied my voice or threated thme in anyway, but they still refuse to refund my money even if it was partial. Thx guys i had to get this off my chest.

There is 2 sides to every coin. Don't really follow you here. You raced your friend with the Xede, and NOT a flash with it? You would have no gains there. (against your friend). I say his flash is worth it. I have had the Xede flash, and Xede since I got the car- 3 years and still ticking! No problems with it at all. Very handy piece to have for driveability/saftey/tunability. I don't get the boost gauge issue, doesn't the dyno have a "built in" boost gauge on the monitor to watch? I say your problem is an exception, not the rule. Sorry to hear about it, but then again, nobody should pass judgement hearing only ONE side.

Good luck, and hope you get stuff straightened out. Maybe you should hang out with fatter evo buddies, that way, their weight would slow them down, and YOU would whoop them!

a flash is that much? Must be a reason for that. Glad I got an '03. Still don't know what a boost gauge has to do with getting dynoed. unless the dyno has NO capability of monitoring boost in real time. Better safe then sorry in that case. Just my guess. Still I feel sorry for you.

About the boost gauge, they wanted what i was boosting, all i got was this the xflash and i was boosting to around 26 psi from what I'm told for a car that has no mods 26psi is way to much. And the gains were not there even there, I raced my friends stock evo 9, we were dead even until he got his flahed then after that i just got hosed. But the main issue is how can they not refund my money no where does it say no refund at least there should be a restocking fee in which they have on their website.

How long did you have the flash before you realized that you were not satisfied? I did not think flashes cost that much since the advent of ecuflash. Maybe shiv would chime in to hear his side of the story.

I'm the one who raced him.

When I was stock and he had the v380, we were even.

After I got my $50 jestr flash, I could pull one carlength on him by the end of the gear pretty easily.

He was boosting past 25psi. I was boosting at 22psi. And from my understanding, the v380 is supposed to boost that high, the emulator is there to articially keep the solenoid at max boost, and the car runs rich so it doesn't blow up at 25psi.

He'd also get boost cut.

Which gear was it? Wow, Jestr flashes are pretty impressive for $50.00!

First of all I'm trying to understand the point of your post. From the title you're wanting a refund, but the information provided in your format lacks making it easy to understand.

If you want to make your points I suggest putting the text together in a format that we can read. On a jcnel-scale your description is about 75% there. The information seems to follow a logic progression. However without some coherent sentences, and some improved grammar, I don't want to take the time to understand it.

From what I did glean boosting to 25 to 26 psi is yes, way too much. In fact the computer may be pulling 'power' in order to keep things sane. Am I on the right diagnosis tract here?

If you are out of the turbos "effective range" or sweetspot, which that high of boost is, the car will run like A$$. I can't comment on the price of the flash, as I have NO IDEA what goes into the MIVEC stuff. You should have pulled on Tuffguy is my guess, if he was stock at the time. Wish you luck either way. I was offered a "we'll make it right" by Dustin a couple years ago when I was having problems, and they did just that. Made it right with me. I honestly haven't had a bad expierence with them. I bet you they will take care of your problem one way or another. Hang in there.

What diagnostic tract? The Car problems? or his Punctuation and Grammer pitfalls?
