most likely. i have heard a few people haven't done it... but check! i think someone here posted he didn't hear any grinding, but when he took the cover off there were shards, black dust ***** of the plastic all over. so, listen carefully when you put the cover on and feel it lightly w/your hand... by the way, how do you like your RRE set up jic coil overs? did they preset the ride height for you?
if i was you, just relieve the ridges inside the cam cover with a dremel and then still check and make sure it isn't rubbing.

Dynoday

Everyone who is planning on doing the race gas tuning w/test pipe, Shiv requested that we have the pipe installed prior to all runs; In other words, the test pipe will be on for the 93/94 octane tuning too.

Cheers

don't worry guys. It's real easy you can do it with a grinder in about 2 minutes. You just need to gring off the raised round ribs on the inside of the cover. You'll see it as soon as you take the cover off. Get ready for an amazing powerband

I'm running the full 3" Buschur turboback exhaust, with the 3" high flow cat.

I have a test pipe, I'll bring it along to the dyno day. Not sure if I'll swap it in or not, probably depends on my mood that day.

You won't have the time to roll the car off the dyno and install the test pipe; Shiv requested that you have it installed prior for all tuning.

Thanks

Of course. I would swap the pipe in before rolling on the dyno, and then swap it off after tuning.

You don't actually think that law-abiding people would run a test pipe on public roads, do you?

I think I will make the trek from Wilmington with the test pipe.

Hey guys,

I spoke to Shiv and he wanted to make sure that everyone with anything more than a Stage 1 setup has a high flow fuel pump upgrade. If not, I'll have an extra one with me at the event. The safest bet would be to call up Vishnu and order one that Shiv can bring to the event. Install is only 10-15 minutes so it can be done on the spot.

I have the Vishnu signature series but they are out of test pipes so I guess I will have to do my tune with the 3" cat installed. Too bad as the test pipe is easily good for 15 more HP.

Shiv said that the maps for the test pipe cars work fine after reinstalling the cat, so I may request test pipe users to share their maps after after the tuning is complete.

John, I have a test pipe and will have stage 1+ 93 & ~100 octane. I'm going to be using the C16 from Altered. If you're ok with that, I can email you my map after the event.

KK:

Check your email about the high flow fuel pump -- I've had an unexpected problem in that department.
