Okay I will try to pull it out, if I have problems I think I got 4 pairs of needle nose at the store today, one should work.

Hey Evo8power, how does you car run now with the XEDE working properly compared to your bro's car (*on the butt dyno)? (I think you are the one with the bro that beat your Evo)

BTW, i'm glad that everything worked out for you..

Great job MP5 and KK for this new section of the forum. I'm sure I'll use it when my Xede shows up.

I have my Wideband 02 hooked up, just waiting on the RPM input so I can actually log AFR based on RPM. Right now Im just staring at the box while trying to keep my hands on the road. From what I can tell though, the ECU does not go into a learning mode or anything to compensate for your adjustments.

I have noticed though, Ill get a slight misfire every now and then around 2-3k when im getting steady boost around 1-2 psi... Seems strange to me even with the MAF un-altered around there. I may try to lean it out a little, I think it may be running rich at the bottom load point of 2-3k. Again, its hard to tell with no RPM Aux input for my WB02

Also - when can we use the dataloggin function for Knock count on the Xede??????????????????????????

Good to know about the ecu not readjusting, the RPM input will be invaluable. The p0300 misfire codes do appear with improper gapped plugs when rolling off the throttle (I suspect like you its a combo of gap and rich conditions) I have only gotten it 2 times and driveing very hard at the time.

Have you noticed that leaning doesnt seem to do much with the EVO in terms of power and maybre even some loss of spool? I find it odd but seemingly noticeable.(also peak psi went down almost .7 psi ) Im going to see if I can positively quantify it. And maybe richen it up and add timing

I'm getting ready to install my Stage 1 which should arrive within a week. Do I need to buy any special serial cable to plug into my laptop or will the xede come with it?

You need to pick up a cable unless they are now providing one its nothing special just a regular serial cable

Hmm I had to disconnect my Xede today...!!!!

It kept wanting to die on me at part throttle. It felt like fuel cut, only at 3000rpm.. VERY weird. The tach would also go up and down when I was off the throttle. Seems like something is shorting out. I checked all Xede wiring but everything looks normal, as it always has.... I disconnected it and the problem is not apparent. Seems to have to do only with the Xede. Mind you I have one of the first units that were available, I still need to get an upgraded one...
