Seems like something is shorting out. I checked all Xede wiring but everything looks normal, as it always has.... I disconnected it and the problem is not apparent. Seems to have to do only with the Xede. Mind you I have one of the first units that were available, I still need to get an upgraded one...
Any funniness in your 3Krpm MAF scaling?

I turned everything on the MAF and Timing map back to 0 all the way up to 4500 rpm... the Xede should not be tampering with the maf signal at all up untill that point..

Um sure it should no problem with that are you running factory timing and fuel then? What is your AFR at that point under boost?

At 3000rpm under full boost my afr is ~12:5:1. If I look at my afr curve it starts lean than gets richer towards redline. Im sure its normal.

At 3K at part throttle though, I see 14-15:1 AFR which is just the factory ECU trying to get the best fuel mileage..and thats where Im having problems with the Xede attached. I started another thread in this forum for it, lets see if Shiv has any idears!

Correct - factory fuel and timing up until 4500 rpm.

The mods for these are:

Piggyback computer
Trust PEii cat back
Turbosmart e-boost

This is of WHP v AFR

and FW-HP & Exhaust pressure

I'm planning to drop in a 3" Apexi GT front pipe, 3" mid muffler and HKS manifold. Just wondering if anyone knows the usage capacity of our EVO7 stock injectors at full throttle coz I'm thinking of putting in injectors too.. btw.. boost is at 1.3bar

Looks good and in-line with what I've seen with the EVO 7. But judging by the A/F graph, it does seem to run a bit leaner than I would run them here. But then again, a lot has to do with the condition of the A/F sensor, where it was placed and the kind of gas you get over there. Still might be worth looking into though

The fuel quality here is in dispute... here, its SHELL Premium 97 but some guys in the US say its the equivalent of RON91 in the US...

The thing is, i see others post their tune with much higher power outputs with similar mods... my last tune (which i tune myself) using only an SAFC II got me 250whp with the mods below... My downpipe and cat delete has been ordered but do they make that much of a difference? I've seen some posts with 330whp with similar mods but using either your Xede or some reflashes...

My SAFC II is pretty mild ranging from -4 (32k rpm) to -8 (72k rpm)(LT 10% HT 50%). I tried putting in higher numbers but the ECU seems to retard timing and i end up getting worst numbers with leaner mixtures.... Also, I'm boosting at 1.27bar or 18.5 PSI as higher boosts seem to generate less power.. maybe u can shed some light on this... sorry but i would bring my car over for you to custom tune if i could but the frieght charges would be beyond my budget So I would appreciate any help you can give here..

It looks like you are octane limited--- just like us in CA. Without the ability to modify igntion timing, you're not going to get too far with the S-AFC. To make more power, you will need to get away from the knock threshold.

Just my 2c,
shiv
