If you search long and hard you'll find ... there isn't a consistent and permanent fix.

So I guess the only really permanent fix is the AEM EMS huh? Thanks for the heads up though.

Have your dealership look up Showcase Mitsubishi in Bay City, Michigan. Tell them to pull up the file history for Scott Fales. Ask them to pull the work order for the new transmission they installed on my 03 EVO to stop the misfire. Sounds crazy, I know. I had the misfire. I got a brand new tranny under warranty. the misfire stopped..It has something to do with the main shaft being bent and causing a wobble in the tranny. the ecu picks it up as a misfire and tries to correct it actually causing a misfire or misfire like symptoms. If you have any questions please PM me or call Showcase Mitsu. 989 684 0500 is their number. I'm pretty sure Matt was the service guy that installed it. They have a new service manager so he prolly wont kow what you are talking about. just tell him to pull up my work orders.
