I was going to PM you but this way I get a faster response this way. When VIshnu shipped your stuff by way of UPS did you have someone there to sign for your stuff? The address I put down is my home address and after 7 months of having no job my dunb **** girlfriend decide to go and get a job. No one will be there to sign for my stuff. Will UPS just leave it?

if you know the tracking number you can call them up (or go to their site) and arrange for will call or even to have it delivered to another address (don't know if this costs $$)

Maybe I can help. Same thing happened to me when I ordered my Vishnu stuff.

You can either go to the local UPS warehouse and get a tag to put on your door to pre sign. So when the deliveryman shows up he sees the tag and your good to go, its on your doorstep when you get home. If you don't go that route, when they first try and deliver your goods they will leave that same tag for you to sign on your door and you will just get your stuff the next day.

Cool

Thanks fellas. I have tried to get a tracking number but Vishnu is busy. Without that UPS will not do anything. I guess when the UPS tries to deliver Ill check the area that need to be checked to leave it at the front door.

Thanks

I usually put a post-it on the door saying "leave package xxxxx from vendor yyyyyy," include tracking number(s) if possible, and sign and date it.

Yep, that should do it.

YEP

Not to be mean but the great and powerful SHIV has been unable to secure me a tracking number. I just hope that the note I left on my front door will do it but I'll probably get some Dork in brown that plays by the rules.

From what I can tell, there is no consistently followed policy for UPS Ground shipments.

I've lived in areas where nothing was left until somebody signed for it -- they'd even hunt down a neighbor to sign for it.

Where I live now, most of the time they don't even ring the doorbell. They drop the stuff and run. Last summer I ordered a set of Enkei wheels. The delivery guy opened the gate to the back yard, put them on my back patio and left without leaving a note or anything. When I saw them there, I frankly don't know how long they'd been sitting there. Could have been hours, could have been days...
