Hey guys..
As you can see the list for Saturday the 15th of May seems to be full we will be extending the list for this day so we have a "standby list"
I spoke to Shiv last night and he is prepared to do Sunday the 16th also...this weekend is also open to WRX's and STi's to show what they have...so it would be good to get some Subaru owners into the mix..

On another note Shiv has expressed to me that all vehicles in for a custom tune over the weekend need to be correct...by this he means all components need to be installed and installed correctly..if the vehicle reaches the Dyno and problems are found once the car is strapped down you will be charged Dyno time while corrections are made...not only will this be expensive it is also unfair on the rest of the participants who will have to wait..

So, for example, please make SURE those cam gears are set right, that fuel pump is installed if you are running a Stage 1+ and your diverter valve is installed the right way round...

For a small fee Dyno4mance will be available to do a Pre Check, if you so wish, just call us to let us know you will be requiring this service..

Let me back Andrew up on this. You guys just would not believe how many people had their cam gears installed (and therefore degreed) incorrectly. When you get your turn on the dyno, you need to be fully ready to go.

Those of you who are going to be installing parts on site are going to be scheduled for the later part of the day so things will flow smoothly. Please make sure that you can have your car ready before you get there, as it will make the weekend much better for everyone. If there is some reason your car would not be ready, please let us know now (An example of this would be if Shiv is bringing your XEDE to the dyno day, which is completely understandable). Shiv gives great customer service in that he'll take the time to make sure your car is tuned very well, so we owe it to him to be ORGANIZED. Remember that there are several people in attendance, and there is a lot of work that must be accomplished, and the cars need to flow smoothly on and off the dyno.

Andrew and Shiv, having been through a Vishnu dyno day before and several local ones, I'd be happy to take the point on this and be the online contact for any of these guys. We can set dyno slots based on time needs, installation requirements, make of car, etc. Tell me exactly how you would like it organized, and I'll make it happen. Realize also that David will be there, even though he's not on here, and I'm confident that we can make it flow very smoothly.

Guys who are scheduled, if you have any questions at all, now is the time to ask!

Neither. I'm sure it will be organized by need and ease of flow. Since you are a father of new twins and not local, you'd definitely fall into the "need" category. If you're wanting to get in and get out, let us know what kind of timeframe you're looking at.

To make everything more smooth, if you need ANY help with installation prior to this, fire me a PM or call me. Since you are local, I'm happy to hook up with you and we can get it knocked out well in advance to the 15th.

I think we should take the cars that are ready and line them up outside in a line, have everyone put in there cable to the xede and just run them whoever is ready to go. Also what about the xede flashes and the xede updates? If someone needs to go early or late let that be noted. Is this a good idea or dumb?

Yeah, it doesn't really work like that. Different people have special needs, there are different types of cars that need to be done (WRX, Evo, STi), etc. It will be organized in advance for smooth operation prior to May 15th. Lining up outside and trying to get there early would just cause mass chaos. Communicating with every individual beforehand to understand exactly what is going on will be the key.

There will be four or 5 cars without XEDE or Xflash including myself and since SHIV is coming from CALI all his customers should go first (if they are ready) since they are paying for a custom tune. The only thing I want to be able to do is get in 3 runs in on Saturday. I just want to compare my car with other cars and enjoy the meet. My car is ready to go on the DYNO whenever it can be fit in.

My only question is that DYNO has low WHP numbers that don't relate to 1/4 mile ET. I have heard of people getting 240WHP with cams and turboback. Can the numbers be corrected to relate to realworld speed or expected 1/4 times? Please correct me if I have made any incorrect statments.

I think with 15evo's getting dynoed you should know where you stand. Also there is a calc to see what other numbers would be. If you put down 300whp on this dyno you will run a low 12. I think the stage 1+ cars with the xede will be around 270ish, the dynoflash car was about 240whp with the same things as the stage 1+ cars but it did not have a current flash for the cams and was running 9:1 on the AFR.

Snoop, if you'd like to see a correlation of what your car would put down on a dynojet, you can multiply the number you receive by 1.2 and have a close approximation. There is a excel file on Shiv's site entitled "How big is your horsepower" or something of that sort that allows you to plug in numbers and see how different dynos would typically read out.

Even though it reads "lower", I feel that Dyno Dynamics is by far the best system to tune from in that it has more features and is far easier to operate and strap down.
