After a few runs of custom tuning....

 

Another car that came in earlier that day.

It had anothe reflash, a cat-back, bigger throttle body and an intake. It was also running octane booster. The owner is coming back next week for a custom tuned XFlash

How is this NOT considered talking bad about another vendor? I think you need to use some more white/yellowout their Shiv.

BTW... when is the "Coming Soon:" gonna get removed from your signature? The XFlash challenge needs to be reveiled.

I'm dissappointed that you couldn't tune out more out of lambtron's car, but pleased that you got the baseline maps at 99% from the getgo. . Good news for those considering mail flashed XFlash options.

 

Yeeouch on that last car's pulls! There's no insult like the truth, and those results are quite illuminating.

why post this it would seem to say dont bother with a custom tune.

 

That's just peak hp. With only 5 dyno runs of custom tuning, there is 12-18whp gains above 6500rpm which makes for a substantially quicker car.

no, it would seem to say, don't bother with that other tuner's exhaust, intake and throttle-body mods, at least if you're going to be running their engine programming, because you may as well run an XFlash

 

Don't put too much into peak numbers. It's all under the curve that matters.

Interested in seeing what Shiv can gain with some tuning, with the current list of hardware on the other car.
