stage one standard vs stage 1 sig?

whats the difference between the stage one standard and the stage 1 signature. I know its something with the exhaust, but what does each one get you specifically?

The standard exhaust comes in two forms: Turboback(replaces factory O2 housing, a ***** to install, and dumpback, attaches to the O2 housing) The Signature comes in one style: Dumpback. Differences between the two? The Standard is made by our Australian fabricator which uses a quieter muffler and a resonator piece. The signature series is hand made by our fabricator here in the US and utilizes v-band clamps for quick and easy removal. Also, the sig. series uses a Magnaflow muffler and no resonator pipe so it is significantly louder. Hope that helps.

Dang, ezhangin beat me to it ... I was just about to post the same question.

So which exhaust is better? I would assume the turbo back exhaust would be the better choice if I didn't need the 'hot-swap' capability of the dump back exhaust. Also, which exhaust is the better choice if I'm planning on (eventually) going with the Stage 2 turbo upgrade (probably the 3037)?

And on a separate note, is it possible to get just the Omori gauges (not the whole kit). I'm getting Craighardy's gauge panel and will also be getting the radio relocation kit separately, so I really just need the gauges - I like 'em better than the Defis...

If you're going to upgrade to stage 2, get the signature series exhaust. The same fabricator who makes the sig. series makes our stage 2 kits, and a custom dp must be made to accommodate the external wastegate. Which one is better? It really depends on your taste. IMHO, they both sound sweet, the signature is of course louder, sounds a bit meaner, however it really depends on what you are looking for. Remember, the standard exhaust has a resonator piece so it won't drone as much, and it is a bit quieter.

As for the gauges, yes it is possible to get just the gauges and not the whole kit.

Oh ya the ST. is alot quiter but the Sig is not that loud. Sig just sounds mean. I driven a car with the ST. and At first I did not even notice that he had a exhaust.

Well, I think you'll change your mind about the loudness of the signature exhaust if you ever hear Shivmobile haha.

If I'm not mistaken, then ST = Standard vishnu exhaust

Hehe, looks like I'll be getting the Sig for meself

Anyone know what the average lead time is on a stage 1 sig kit right now? I'm planning on a late May/early June install to co-incide with Shiv's dyno-day in CO.

Cheers...

But a lot of that has to do with having no cats, a tubular turbo manifold and nasty cams. Vroom....
