Off To Detroit for C&D SuperCar Challenge
I can't wait for the results. I hope they have a televised version on C&D television on the spike channel. I would love to see all these cars in action
I think the EVO wil surprise everybody.

Good luck Shiv!
I too also think the Evo will do quite well depending on how they score the competetion. Hopefully they will give a heavy weighting to price
Other than 0-150 and 100-150 acceleration times you should be right in the midst of things. Even if the upgraded Brabus AMGCL65 has 850hp or something ridiculous I promise the electronics will make it handle like a dog! Make us proud!!

Hi guys,
Brett, Dustin and the EVO just shipped off to Detroit. So it'll be me and Lambtron for the rest of the week at the shop. So please go easy on us
Anyway... the car is scheduled to arrive Detoit (barring and hold ups) on Saturday, giving us the rest of the night to give it a good wash and do last-minute stickering. I just got an email from Larry Webster (tech editor for C&D mag) giving some last minute info. It was cc'd to folks from the following company's:
Racing Solution Inc-- www.racingsolutionsinc.com. They are bringing a Viper which runs 9s at 150mph. Check out their video. Sh%t.
Lingenfelter-- www.lingenfelter.com. I'm guessing they will be brining some twin turbo Z06 that runs just as fast and doesn't break and is driven well. D#mn!
Mallet-- www.mallettcars.com. I got wind that they are brining some crazy Caddy CTS-V. Their standard package makes 471hp. I'm guessing that they will be bringing a hopped-up version of that.
Hennessey-- Of Viper fame. I believe they are brining a twin-turbo Viper Venom 600 or 700 or 800. God knows. All of them spell bad news for our little red smack-talker
Mosler Motorsports-- http://www.constantvelocity.com/. This website makes me cry. I think these guys are the ones to watch. Just insane.
MTI-- http://www.motorsporttech.com/. These guys are probably bringing one of their crazy twin turbo Z06s. They are also right up there with Lingenfelter when it comes to bringing crazy cars that don't break.
Hoppen-- http://www.autoweek.com/cat_content...._code=00050759. That ~600hp RS6 looks crazy. We'll be competing with it directly for top sedan honors
HPA-- http://www.motortrend.com/features/p...12_0401_tuner/ They are bringing a VW R32. No, really. It runs 11s at 120+mph and is capable of reaching 202mph on pump gas. Check out that link to a R&T mag. review. Another sedan to contend with... ugh..
Kleeman-- www.kleemannusa.com. They tune big motor'd Mercedes. I believe their entry is going to have insane amounts of power. I just hope it doesn't hustle through the road course to quickly.
There's a few more people in the cc list but I can't make out what company they are from. So i'm sure there will be even more surprises ahead.
Thanks for all the luck guys... we're going to need it!!
Cheers,
Shiv

The 265 fit without much of a problem. We had to lengthen the wheel studs up front and run a wheel of appropriate offset. We also had to run 3-4mm of spacers up front. We also had to install camber bolts to add in positive camber down low (to get the tire to clear the shock body/spring perch) and offset it by adjusting the camber plates up high. No fenders were rolled or injured during this process
Now the 285s, which we'll try to fit later, will require some work!

you're the man shiv, i know you guys will lay the smack up there!! It sounds like you are up against some stiff competition but I have alot of confidence in you guys. Good luck, everyone here is pulling for yall.
Ouch! That Mosler does look to be tough. 2200 lbs for the normal version and 1980 lbs for the Photon lightweight version, any guess' on which of the two they will be bringing? It uses a basically stock LS6 which means that it should be reliable as well which is one of the things that you have to wonder about with some of the other mega-horsepower cars. Well, you have your work cut out for you, but your secret weapon named Paul may just be able to offset a lot of the others advantages. A well driven car can make a lot of difference.
