Off To Detroit for C&D SuperCar Challenge
Hi guys,
The car is just about to leave for Detroit to compete in the 2004 Car And Driver magazine SuperCar Challenge. As you know, we're going up against some heavy hitters. This isn't the 4 cyl shootout like last year. This is the real deal. Competition includes Lingenfelter, Mosler, Hennesey, Renntech, etc,. Wish us luck on that 100-150mph acceleration test because that is going to kick our *** pretty good (compared to the slipperly cars with 800+hp). We're the only EVO (hell, the only 4 cylinder) in the competition so we hope to make you guys proud!
We're going to finish the dyno calibrations tonight and the car begins its 2300 mile trailor ride tomorrow. Other competitors are showing up with their 18 wheeler race transports. We're arriving with a white Budget rental van pulling a rickety wooden trailer
At least we're the underdogs! Wish us luck!

good luck, kick some high dollar ***! do you know exactly who you are going to go up against and what cars they are taking? if so could you post a list. if you are too busy getting prepared it can wait. thanks anyway though.
Shiv, I hope you open up a can of whoop ***. You are already a winner because you will **** of all those C&D readers that don't think the Evo can compete w/ those high horsepower exotic cars. It will be fun to see you run right there with the big dogs...
