I think I read "abner" a million times while reading this thread. So if I remember what I read; abner is abner as abner with abner? Or is it with abner as abner?

On a serious note, that is a berry clean install. Nice job.... abner

looks great abner! Let us know how the car performs at the Jestr tune. Still have to come by to see the car after you get back.

Wouldn't the nozzle before the diverter valve result in meth mist being put through the turbo when you are under boost/spray and then suddenly lift? Or, even steady state if you are under boost high enough to activate the spray but the throttle position is low enough to have partial recirculation? And if you are venting to atmosphere, then wouldn't you be misting your engine compartment with the meth vapor under these circumstances?

Kudos for the neat install and giving us all the excellent photos

Hi Rich, there is a inline solenoid valve. I flowed tested it with my buddy Redza and flow comes on instantly and off instantly, non of the dribbles associated with using a checkvalve...thankx to Richard for his adivice.

The condition in the UICP is pretty much isobaric underboost, i dont see a dirving force directing the mist down the tube....although some mist might "catch" the cutout lip and then trickling down.....

just using the stock metal recirculating valve.

Abner, I guess what I'm contemplating is a situation where your boost level is above the threshold for the Hobbs switch, but you aren't flooring it and therefore the diverter valve is partially open (especially with a loosely sprung stocker) while the meth is continuing to spray. In that case, the solenoid wouldn't come into play because it'd be open and continue to stay open while the diverter is venting. The UICP may be the same pressure throughout (I guess that's what "isobaric" means -- my new vocabulary word for the day ), but the pressure on the other side of the diverter would be less than the UICP (and potentially under vacuum from the turbo inlet) and therefore the meth mist filling the UICP from the IC to the throttle body (due to the 2 nozzles) would flow out the diverter valve because of the pressure differential (and therefore back into and through the turbo).

I am FAR from an engineer, so I may have my concepts all wrong...

Thanks,
Rich

why not put together a parts list and post it in the meth/alky forums so it can get stickied?
