Our customer just went ahead and did it, as crazy as it may sound. He ended up buying a few sets of valves and holders, just loved the power while it lasted- it is not that bad, I believe it is about 20 dollars a set.
If each set can last two months, and it costs 20 dollars, it well worth the laid out if the gets good power from it.

And you are saying you can buy the pump seal parts separate now?
the replacement part looks from the exploded diagram to be key #5, bypass valve and discharge valve assembly.

Kits are readily available to repair standard 8000 series pumps. Repair kits include simple illustrated instructions allowing easy installation. To insure that the correct kit is received the model numbered and all name plate data must be included with the order. Contact s SHURflo distributor or SHURflo directly to order the necessary repair kit.
I guess I will give it a shot and post results but i am just using 8% nitro 90% meth 2% oil (using the rc stuff the jug says 30% nitro 60% meth 10% oil)
also the percents are rounded it off so dont bust my *****
if you think about it the lube is going to be a very very small amount, I am using 32oz of the rc stuff to every 96 oz of 100% meth (more meth will "dilute" the oil), so that is going to be in oz:
-9.6 oz (nitro)
-3.2 oz (oil)
-115.2 oz (meth)
I posted the part # for the seals as well as a good distributor on the srtforums but the post is deleted

Richard - Have you tested the effects of smaller amounts of Nitro on the pump parts?
Maybe 80/20 meth/nitro
Also how do the rest of the Aquamist parts hold up to nitro (HSV, Flow sensor, lines, nozzles, etc...)
In that old thread on the aquamist boards you mentioned placing a piece of aluminum in some nitro but never posted the results.
