Smc not spraying, supposed to get tuned tomorrow.

I just added a SMC kit to my car and can not get it to spray. The kit is the one that replaces the intercooler sprayer, i bought it off a member on here a few weeks ago. I hooked the power straight to the battery with a relay inbetween to give me a clean power source. I butt connected the four wires from the control to the pump. The boost line was t-ed right after the boost controller goin to the wastegate. The two wires comming off the tank were on one O shaped terminal and figured that was a ground so i did. The control shows a strong green light for power, a strong red light when the tank was empty, but when i press the test button for the spray the orange light is very dim. I also tried boosting the car and watched my air/fuel ratio to see if it got richer but it didnt. I didnt get any instructions when i bought the kit, and Im suppoed to be getting a flash tomorrow so any help would be great.

Cheack your ground. Is the controller showing two lights (green and Amber)simultaneously?

Please respond. I will try to assist you the best I can.

So the Green is always on right?, if the green is always on at least you are getting power to the controller via red wire with inline fuse. The weak amber light perhaps reveals a weak ground.

When you press the test button what happens? do you hear any noise? We are looking at a pump noise.

Get back with me.

mine did the very same thing, it the yellow light was showing very very dim. when i had someone spray it, the gauge would not read more than 40 psi. i called smc and he told me that it was the diaphragm. i sent it to him and he replaced it free of charge.

again, check to see the pressure on the gauge and try to hear the pump.

It looks like the pump is not working at all: No amber light, no pumping noise.

Do you have a couple of extra wires laying around your garage? if you do so we might try to wire the pump straight to the battery just to test operationalbility.

Also, just keep in mind that the gauge is another indication of no flow from the pump.

Hit me back.

Running the pump directly from a DC power source will rule out many other components like:

Bad test button
bad ground on the pump
bad/faulty all weather harness wiring

We need to do that basic test.

No i could get some tomorrow but i cant tonight. They are on the top side of the tank. Not far from where you fill it. All the other wires are down bottom by the pump.
