Where to place AEM AIT Sensor??

I did a search and had a hard time coming to a conclusion. Everyone has a different answer.

Where should the AIT sensor go?

Is it ok to put it in the path of the meth injection nozzle where it'll get sprayed all over?

Should I put it before the meth injection nozzle where it won't get soaked?

Or should it be placed in the intake tube where the cone filter is similar to a factory setup?

Someone help me out here...

1 car i saw with aem and methanol injection that was done by IA Performance in tucson az had the IAT sensor behind the nozzle

IC -> IAT sensor -> atomizing nozzle/s -> throttle plate

i would guess it depends on if you are using the AEM to compensate for intake temp.. in that case i'd assume yould want it after the spray so it could take a semi-accurate IAT reading..

but i think that most people dont adjust for iat.. so who cares.

I care. I want my aem to adjust to big temperature swings from season to season.

David Buschur told me to mount the meth nozzle AFTER the AIT sensor. You DO NOT want the AIT sensor bathed in the meth.

i guess if its for big swings.. before should be ok.. how much does meth lower the IAT?.. should only be a few degrees i think.

By just looking at the AIT sensor it has a metal strip that measures the ait. I'm sure soaking it with fluids probably isn't a good idea.

Anyone ever hear of placing the AIT in the intake tube like a factory setup?

Yeah, I suppose over long periods of time. Exactly how long, I have no idea. They are pretty inexpensive comparative to other parts I guess.
