HSF-5 install question: How long of a piece of aluminum


Can someone give me a rough dimension of how long of a piece of Aluminum I need to do a similar install as the one above in the pic? I know I can buy a piece really long an cut it down, but I want to try something different than aluminum strips so thats why I'm wanting a rough dimension.

It is about 5.5" longer than the other piece.

Thats a pretty good guess, according to Abner's diagrams it seems to be 6"
