AEM Meth Users....

Anyone here using the AEM Meth kit use 100% Meth? Is it possible to run all meth on this kit and how safe would it be?

Right now I run a 60% M3 and 40% water.... Currently running 28psi on a stock turbo and AEM on 93 octane.

Thanks!
Dan

If the kit manufacturer recommends 50/50 mixture chances are it is for a reason.

Why they would do this:
1. 100% meth is more costly than a 50/50 mix.
2. Can cause more leaks.
3. It is very flammable, 50/50 isnt.
4. Pump will fail after time its just a mater of when.
5. Meth needs twice as much to effectively do its job, causing a "cylinder wash-down" scenario, which can lead to pre-mature ring failure after prolong use.
6. Meth is corrosive

Using 50/50 you limit all the bad factors and still get the blessing of having some of the meth.
AEM is like any of your other USA "injection" companies. So you "CAN" run 100% meth but the benefit of easy tuning no way out weighs the long term results. Honestly to be blunt, if your running 100% meth just switch to E85, the power will be more consistant and the corrosion will be a lot less lol.

PS: stick with VP M1 meth, M3 is not a good injection meth. VP M5 should not be used in a 100% meth app.

Good Luck!

I know people who run it but it does decrease the life of the pump and fittings but if you do regular checks and replace parts as needed it can be done but I would still suggest just using 50/50...
