Aquamist HFS-3 on 100% Methonal

I believe there should be a little extra precautionary when running 100% methanol, so what is everybody running for lines and fittings with 100% methanol?

I was thinking stainless steel lines and compression fittings??

Any pictures of peoples set ups would be greatly appreciated.

Ya most people throw caution to the wind with running high pressure fuel through a plastic tube.

It does seem a little crazy to run 100% meth on the lines that come with the kits. That is why most companies recommend you only run up to 50/50.

For me I only ran 50/50. I made the power I was lookign to make, so I left it alone. I also did not feel very safe pumping 150psi meth through a plastic tube, and into a hot engine compartment. I would say if you want to run 100% meth then yes upgrade all the lines and fittings to AN style fittings and stainless tube or braided stainless lines.

Now there are a lot of people that run 100% meth with out any issue at all. So I would say it is really just a personal choice you need to make.

the tubing is rated for higher pressure than what the pump puts out .

The lines that come with the kit work perfectly. As do the compression fittings that are supplied.

I run 100% with 2 nozzles . .9 and 1.0.

I ran 100% even on the refrigerator water hose tubing in a pinch and had 0 issues regarding deterioration etc (this was back in my dsm days). The tubing that comes with the kits works splendidly.

OP, there is absolutely no danger of the hose from bursting if it is sensibly routedm away from hot engine components. You will also notice that we no longer use push-in fittings.

Run 100% methanol with confidence and no worries reggarding the flow sensor failing.
